Shiatsu is a profoundly relaxing and energising massage, which promotes efficient flow of energy within the body. It maintains range of movement with limb stretches and joint mobilisations, and takes place fully clothed on a futon. Gentle or deep pressure is applied, as needed. It’s best to wear comfortable loose or stretchy clothing. Common complaints for which shiatsu is effective include: Shiatsu is also a safe and supportive treatment during pregnancy. Clients often report an increased vitality, a physical/ mental sense of ease, improved mood, a greater sense of positivity and ability to deal with stress. |
